More about Coco

Meet Angel!

This sweet girl is looking for patient new owners who will give her the time and space she needs to settle into her new home before revealing her very affectionate, smoochy side. Trust us, she’ll be worth the wait!

Once Angel feels comfortable, her loving personality really shines. She’s a big fan of rolling around, purring up a storm and leaning in for plenty of fuss and strokes. She’s also quite the little shadow and will happily follow her favourite person around the house, making sure they’re never lonely for long! After a cuddle on your lap, she’ll often curl up beside you for a well-earned snooze. And if you’ve been out for a while? Expect a particularly enthusiastic welcome home!

Angel is a very sociable girl who’s happy to say hello to newcomers and is more than willing to accept a fuss from visiting admirers. Although she’s friendly with everyone, she does tend to pick a favourite person in the household, so you may soon find yourself with a very devoted little companion.

Angel also has a funny quirk she would like to share - she has a rather impressive talent for opening cupboard doors, showing off her nimble and agile side. So be prepared for a potential hello as you reach for your tea or coffee!

Angel would be happy living with teenagers and adults. She will need a dedicated settling-in room in her new home to help her feel safe and secure while she gets used to her new surroundings. She will also need access to the outdoors.

If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Angel, please email our rehoming team at cat.rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest. We ask all prospective adopters to complete our online form before enquiring about an individual animal. If you haven’t completed the form yet, you can find all the details here: https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/cats. Please be aware that we receive a high level of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those whose circumstances are a suitable match for the cat they have enquired about.

Rehoming FAQs

Here at Battersea, we assess all of our cats individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.

This may not always be the cat you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our cats and the right cat for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest.  Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our cats and for you wherever possible.

If we are not able to match you with a cat within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search beyond Battersea.

Our rehoming fee is £100 for cats (over six months), £130 for kittens (under six months) or £180 for a pair of cats and £225 for a pair of kittens. We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). The fees include a full vet and behaviour assessment, microchipping, flea and worm treatment, neutering, initial vaccinations, starter pack of food and four weeks of free Petplan insurance. Each cat also goes to their new home with their own blankets and a favourite toy, such as a knitted mouse.

It’s important to consider not just the initial cost of getting a cat or kitten, but the regular cost of insurance, food, equipment and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of owning a cat.
