More about Basil

Basil is a bubbly and charismatic Corgi cross Chihuahua that is currently based in Battersea Old Windsor.

Basil is a social boy and loves nothing more than spending time with his human companions or making new friends. He has been able to make friends easily with all the staff and volunteers at the centre . Basil is happy to greet you with a wagging tail in hopes that it will lead to lots of fuss and cuddles.

Although Basil does enjoy meeting other dogs, he is still working on his social skills so he can sometimes lack manners when interacting with other dogs. He can be quite persistent when greeting other dogs so whilst he is still learning to be more polite with his interactions, he is looking to be the only dog in the household at this time but would benefit from regular socialisation with a variety of dogs to help him grow into a well-rounded adult.

Basil can often be found in kennel keeping himself entertained by playing with tennis balls, they’re his favourite but he finds it much more fun when he has a human friend to play with. He is polite with his play and is able to exchange items nicely.
