Meet our bubbly Biscuit!

Biscuit came to Battersea as a stray so we sadly have no history on his short life previous. We cant be certain about his breed but suspect there may be some Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in him. Since arriving, Biscuit has passed all his assessments with flying colours, showing to be a sweet, friendly and affectionate boy who loves calm hands on from his people and getting out and about around our London site, where he loves to sniff and engage with the environment.

Biscuit enjoys socialising with other dogs and can become excited and vocal when seeing them so is looking for a new home in a quieter area away from inner city or busy areas where he can explore to his hearts content. He could potentially live with another doggy friend who matches his playstyle but can show also show him how to be more calm and steady and take breaks. Biscuit could also potentially live with a dog savvy cat.

Biscuit is looking for a new home with a garden and an active new family who will continue his training.

When we think we’ve found a potential match, one of our expert rehoming team will then get in touch to understand a bit more about you and discuss next steps.

We will then arrange a visit to a Battersea centre to meet your potential new pet.

Rehoming FAQs

Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.

This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest.  Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.

If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:

  • Microchipping
  • Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
  • Neutering
  • A collar, identification tag and lead
  • Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
  • Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings


Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
