More about Bloom
Bloom is a 5-year-old French Bulldog cross Jack Russell with a gentle heart and a bright, curious nature. She arrived with us a little underweight, but her kind personality has shone through from day one. Bloom is a friendly girl who enjoys meeting people and has coped well with the hustle and bustle of our centre, though she can sometimes feel a little unsure and will need a patient family to help her build confidence.
Bloom loves human company and will happily greet visitors, often seeking out fuss and attention. She can be a little sensitive in certain situations and is looking for a family who will be willing to go slow with her to build up her confidence.
When it comes to other dogs, Bloom is polite and sociable but prefers to keep things low-key. She’s happy to say hello and then go about her own business, so she would be best suited to being the only dog in the home. However, she could potentially live with a calm, well-mannered dog who will respect her space and not overwhelm her.
Bloom may be able to live with a calm cat, as she has shown gentle curiosity without any chasing behaviour. She could also live with older children (around 8+), who can understand when she needs space and will respect her boundaries.
With a mix of French Bulldog and Jack Russell, Bloom enjoys her walks and would love around an hour of exercise each day, ideally split into shorter outings. She also enjoys toys, especially squeaky ones, and is happy to entertain herself or engage in a game of fetch or tug.
Bloom can be left alone for short periods once settled, particularly after a walk and some enrichment, and she’s crate trained which can help her feel secure. Like many dogs, she will need a gradual build-up when adjusting to a new routine.
Bloom is looking for a loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence and feel safe. In return, she’ll offer plenty of affection, companionship, and her own sweet, independent charm.
