Bruno is a nearly 2-year-old English Bulldog with a huge personality and plenty of affection to give. This friendly, enthusiastic boy loves being around people and is happiest when he can be involved in whatever his humans are doing. Whether he’s asking for a cuddle, offering his paw or heading out for a good sniff, Bruno approaches life with plenty of character.
Bruno can be a bouncy boy and is still learning that keeping all four paws on the floor is the best way to say hello. He enjoys exploring on his walks and, once he’s had a chance to sniff and take everything in, can settle into a more relaxed pace.
He is generally sociable around other dogs and has enjoyed positive interactions whilst with us, although he can become rather overenthusiastic with his investigations! Bruno would therefore prefer to be the only pet in his new home while continuing to enjoy carefully chosen doggy friends out and about.
Bruno is looking for an experienced, adult-only home where his new family can provide consistency around his food and favourite things as he was reported to be protective over these in his previous home. Training in this area should be continued using positive, reward-based methods. In return, they’ll gain a loving, entertaining and affectionate companion who thoroughly enjoys human company and has lots of potential to continue learning.
Bruno is ideally looking to be the only pet in the home and would do best in a home with a secure garden for training.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
