More about Coco

Meet our gorgeous Akita, Coco! This gentle giant is a cuddly, good natured, excitable girly who came into our care through no fault of her own. She really has a heart of gold, and truly is one of a kind!

Coco loves a cuddle and fuss; she is very affectionate and sociable! She thoroughly enjoys a good brush, essential in keeping her coat looking fabulous. Coco loves her toy play – particularly if a soft or squeaky toy is to be had and she has great skill with exchanging. Coco is also attending Weight Watchers and is looking for her new owners to keep up with her weight loss challenge.

Coco has shown herself to be friendly towards other dogs, sometimes a bit excitable and can get frustrated when she can’t greet every dog she comes across. Coco could potentially live with another calm, independent dog who can show her how it’s done and be a good role model for walking on lead around other dogs. Coco has lived with a cat previously, so a dog savvy cat who has lived with large, playful dogs before could be considered. Coco would love a garden to call her own where she can run around and relax. Coco previously lived outside, so her own outdoor space will really help her settle into a new home environment. She has coped well with being indoors in kennels here with us. New owners will need to be sympathetic to Coco and support her in her transition to her new home comforts.
