More about Connie

Connie is a friendly, laid back Greyhound with a calm and easy going nature. She is currently based at Battersea Old Windsor.

Connie is very friendly with everyone she meets. She may lean in for a gentle fuss once she feels comfortable, but we haven’t seen her jump up. She really enjoys quiet affection and loves spending time soaking up attention from the people she trusts most.

Connie walks nicely on the lead and isn’t strong. She enjoys steady walks where she can sniff and stay close by your side, she will often check in for a gentle fuss along the way. She can be sensitive to sudden or loud noises, particularly in busier environments so she would really benefit from having her own secure, private garden where she can relax and stretch her legs safely and build her confidence at her own pace.

Around other dogs, Connie is polite and calm. She is happy to pass dogs on walks, often having a look but she mostly prefers to keep to herself and do her own thing. Although, she is currently looking to be the only dog in the household at this time, it would be nice for her to have regular walking friends she can go out with to help keep her socialised.

Connie enjoys chasing soft toys for fun, though she prefers the chase itself rather than bringing them back, and doesn’t tend to play fetch.
Overall, Connie is a gentle, affectionate girl who would thrive in a calmer home where she can continue to grow in confidence at her own pace.
