More about Croissant

Courageous little Croissant is a gentle little soul with a lot of love to give once he’s had time to trust you. He came to us from a hoarding situation where he lived with many (100+) other dogs and didn’t get the chance to experience the world properly. Despite this, Croissant is sweet and friendly, often coming over for a fuss once he feels safe. He’s still learning to navigate life outside, and has shown to be quite worried of other dogs, and will need to be the only dog in the household. He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can build confidence at his own pace. Croissant has spent some time on foster with a member of staff where we have realised he is going to take quite a bit of patience and time settling in to a normal home life--he does have some separation anxiety, is not housetrained, and has likely never been walked outside before and so struggles to walk, his foster carer having to carry him most places at present. He will need a home in a quiet, out of town location.

Croissant has clearly had an extremely sheltered life and will need patient owners willing to work with Croissant and help him grow in confidence. He will need his exercise built up slowly and steadily with new owners who are able to dedicate time to ensure he gets specialised care to help him make up for lost time. He enjoys his food, is starting to engage with people, and is quickly learning to love playing with toys. Croissant will thrive with quiet routines, gentle guidance, and plenty of encouragement. Croissant may be shy now, but he is a young dog, so with the right support, he’s sure to blossom into a loyal and loving companion capable of taking on the world at large--at his own pace.

Croissant has not had the most straight forward start in life and as a result does come with some medical which means he will have some insurance exclusions as well as needing to be on ongoing medication.
