Say hello to our lovely Coonhound cross, Dolly!
Dolly was brought into Battersea, due to a change in circumstances. She has a great history around her actual owner, loved all the fusses she could get and could be handled with no issues whatsoever!
Dolly has shown to be a little bit of a worried girlie which is reflective of her history, and her new home will need to take it slowly with her. Dolly is looking for an adult only home with no visiting children due to her history around them.
Miss Dolly favours her own space since she isn't the biggest fan of socialising with other dogs and would very much rather stick to her self and do her own thing. For this reason she must be the only dog in the home and will be rehomed under the condition that she is muzzled in public areas, though there is scope for her to live with a cat if its the right match and set up for her.
Dolly will need to go to an experienced home in a quiet location and her own secure private garden is a must. New owners will need to be able to advocate for her space out on walks as well as to continue with her positive training she will require moving forward. Dolly will need confidence building when in a new home and around new people. We have seen a lovely personality emerging as she bravely comes out of her shell.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
