More about Ellie
Meet our little pocket rocket, Ellie! Ellie is a bouncy binky Patterdale terrier who loves to race and leap around our paddocks with her toys. She has shown some juvenile behaviours such as mouthing at her lead but has overall been a joy to care for!
Ellie came into our care after being found straying, so we do not have much information on her background. She has been a sweet and friendly little bean with people and has shown some good sociability around other dogs while on and off the lead. Although she can be a little unsure at first, she has settled into play and demonstrated some classic young terrier play style, chasing around with other dogs. She has at times needed some handler guidance when playing with other dogs but is able to respond to this well.
Ellie will need a new home with a private garden as she is not currently house trained. Ideally, her new owners will be active and prepared for the energy of a young Patterdale, including her in outdoor activities and investing time into her ongoing training and socialisation. She will thrive with adequate daily walks and fun activities to keep her body and her brain occupied. Ellie could potentially live with an interactive but more mature role model canine companion who can show her the ropes, pending introductions at our Brands Hatch site.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about our busy bee Ellie, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
