More about Fergus

Meet our Friendly Fellow Fergus.

Fergus is our beautiful 5 month old Poodle mix.

He came to us with several fractures in his paw and some concerns around his eyes. He has since had an operation to support and help the fractures heal however following our findings we have found out he does unfortunately have a vision impairment which means he doesn't see much, and will eventually go blind, but this hasn't stopped him being the bubbly and happy lad that he is.

Considering what he has been through he has not let affect his temperament at all being wiggly and friendly with everyone he meets, he is very tolerant of handling by his known people who have fallen head over heels for this little man as they help him through his medical treatment.

He does need guidance and his confidence building back up after a rough start in life. He will need owners that will advocate for him though out his life helping him to navigate the world around him which in turn will strengthen the bond between you both. Fergus does struggle with separation anxiety, and will need a multi carer home with minimal leaving hours.

He loves other dogs but his social skills will need work. He seeks interaction from dogs but can be a bit excitable once he gets there. New owners must be prepared to continue socialising him to ensure he regains his confidence and has positive experiences.
He would love to live with a steady, friendly role model dog who can tolerate his puppy behaviour and help guide him into adulthood.

Fergus is an active lad who, although a little shy at times, loves being out on walks and will need plenty of stimulation in a new home. He will need a quieter location with a private garden space.

Fergus is a truly wonderful character, funny, curious an excited about everything and full of love for everyone and everything he meets. He does need a little extra TLC than other pups his age, but he is certainly worth the effort and will be the most fabulous companion.
