More about Florence

Meet Florence, a beautiful Lurcher who has truly blossomed during her time in our care. Florence arrived at Battersea Old Windsor as a stray in poor condition and understandably worried by the world around her. Since then, her confidence has grown tremendously, and she's now showing off her wonderfully goofy Lurcher personality.

She loves initiating play with her favourite people, cheekily sniffing around the office in search of forgotten snacks, and tearing around with joyful zoomies when she's reunited with her beloved fish cuddly toy. Watching Florence's playful side emerge has been incredibly rewarding, and she's bringing smiles to everyone she meets.

Florence is looking for patient and understanding owners who can teach her all about life in a home and the basics she may have missed out on. She is very food motivated which will be very helpful for future training and fun enrichment games.

A private garden would be ideal, giving her a safe space to enjoy her famous five minutes of Lurcher zoomies off lead while she continues to build her recall skills for walks and adventures.

She would like to be the only dog in the home. While Florence is steadily gaining confidence around other dogs and has even started offering play bows to a few of her close doggy friends, she is taking this journey at her own pace. For now, calm and polite dog interactions while out and about will help her continue building positive experiences.

Florence promises plenty of laughter, affection, and classic Lurcher antics. She is a truly special girl who is ready to find a loving home where she can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy everything the world has to offer.
