More about Hoop
Meet gorgeous Hoop, one of our adorable Crisp Pups!
Hoop is one of an accidental litter and arrived on site with her brothers and sisters. We believe Hoop is a Lurcher cross Malinois, so her new owners will need experience with these breeds or have thoroughly researched their needs and be prepared for her to grow into a large, intelligent working-type dog who will need plenty of training, exercise and mental stimulation.
She is a playful, excitable little puppy who is always ready to get involved and explore what’s going on around her. She has plenty of bouncy puppy energy but, once she’s ready for a rest, she is very happy to settle down for some fuss and a snooze. We expect her to grow into a very athletic and intelligent dog.
As she is so young and lacking all her vaccines, she has not been able to go outside or socialise with many dogs. As such, we're not sure how she would cope with things like traffic or large populations of dogs. Despite this, Hoop has been confident with general handling and meeting new people. She is looking for a new home whose owners will be confident in exposing her to the world as she grows and matures.
Hoop could potentially live with a role model dog who can teach her the ropes as she settles into her new home. She could also live with cats or other pets, with any introductions starting from scratch and managed carefully.
Hoop could live with children who understand how to interact appropriately with young dogs and are prepared for the puppy mouthing that can be expected at this age.
As she is so young, she will require a private garden where she can gradually experience the outside world once she is fully vaccinated. She could live in a range of locations, provided her owners have access to this space and can gradually introduce her to things like traffic and public transport.
With time, patience and plenty of affection, Hoop has all the potential to grow into a fun-loving, affectionate companion.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Hula, you can e-mail our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual dog, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/dogs
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
