More about Huey

Huey is bubbly and endearing Greyhound who is currently based at Battersea Old Windsor.

During his stay at Battersea, we have found that Huey is a social butterfly and loves to make new human friends. He has no issues making friends with all the staff and volunteers he was met so far but Huey can sometimes forget his manners when he says hello. He currently working on some training to help encourage calmer interactions.

Huey enjoys going for walks and likes explore his surroundings. He would benefit from varied walking routes with plenty to sniff would help Huey engage with his environment more.

At this stage in his life, Huey would be looking to be the only dog in the household as he can be reactive towards other dogs, especially breeds he may not have seen before. He does have an independent side and much prefers his own company or that of calm Greyhounds. He will be looking for new owners who are willing to continue his ongoing training and to help support and manage his dog interactions.

Huey has settled well in our offices when having time out but may need to adapt to a home environment with all its novel sounds, like the TV, washing machines and hoovers etc
