More about James (BBH DOG)

Gentle and sweet James is a real distinguished chap with the loveliest temperament. He is friendly to everyone, people and dogs alike and enjoys pottering on his walks or playing with a soft toy in our paddocks. James is an ideal dog for so many people - someone looking for a steady companion, a family looking for their first dog to join them on adventures, or someone who works from home or has an office they can take James to.

He can often be found lying on his back on his big plush bed with his legs in the air! James is quiet and settled in his kennel and should be able to be left for short periods in his new home, as long as his new owners can build up the time he is left slowly. As an ex-racing greyhound, he will need some help settling into a home environment as has spent a long period of his life in kennels. He has struggled a bit with walking up and down stairs whilst with us, so may need some encouragement and guidance here!

As he gets a little excited when small dogs run around, James will need to wear a muzzle on his walks, but this is much a part of his normal day as is a harness and lead. He does need a private secure garden and would love to visit secure doggy fields where he can partake in the odd zoomie. During his stay with us, James recently attended a local village fete and lapped up the attention from people admiring him and was well behaved around all the other dogs in attendance. This lad really will make a perfect companion.
