More about Jean

Meet lovely little Jean!

Jean arrived at Battersea as a stray, so unfortunately we don’t have any information about her early history.

Jean is a sensitive little lady who has needed time to settle into our busy London site. When she first arrived with the wardens, she found the experience quite overwhelming. Since then, she has come out of her shell nicely and, while she can still feel a little unsure around new people, she has been able to build positive relationships with everyone she’s met. Once she gains confidence, Jean bonds very quickly with her people. She is looking for a multi-carer household where short periods of being left alone can be introduced very gradually.

Jean is underexposed to the wider world and can find handling, loud noises, and even other dogs frightening at times. She will need a gentle, patient guiding hand to help build her confidence. While she would benefit from ongoing, carefully managed socialisation with other dogs to improve her social skills, Jean has shown some resource guarding towards another dog in a smaller space. For this reason, she will need to be the only dog in the home.

With the right guidance and patience, Jean will grow into an amazing, devoted companion for her new family!
