More about Jerry
Jerry is a lively and excitable Labrador Retriever who enjoys running around the paddocks here at Battersea Old Windsor.
Jerry is looking for an active home where he can go out on long walks and explore. He can be strong on the lead so he is looking for new owners that are happy to work on this. He will definitely enjoy doing extra activities as well such as scent work or agility.
He has a very strong drive for food and is learning some manners to help him take treats politely. He can get very bouncy with people too, especially when they have treats on them, and can jump up. His new owners will need to practice keeping him calm and greeting people in a more appropriate way.
Jerry is friendly with other dogs but doesn’t gain much from them so is looking to be the only dog in his new home. He would benefit from meeting other dogs on walks to keep him social however.
Jerry has sometimes shown to be protective over certain items. He is doing well with training around this area and has been learning a “sit and wait” before being given food.
We have found that sometimes Jerry can be sensitive around louder sounds so he is looking for a home in a quieter area with his own private and secure garden.
Jerry is a busy dog that will suit an active family. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Jerry, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
