More about Jimmy
Meet Jimmy - a full of life young Spaniel looking for his forever home where he can keep you on your toes. Jimmy is based at our Old Windsor Centre.
Jimmy is looking for home that is very knowledgeable on the working Spaniel temperament and their breed traits. He has plenty of energy and is very clever so it will be important to provide him both physical and mental stimulation. In his current foster home Jimmy is enjoying plenty of enrichment including destruction boxes, kongs, search games and other fun training games.
New owners would need to speak to a Battersea Vet. Jimmy has some ongoing medical care that new owners would need to discuss and consider before rehoming.
Jimmy has spent time in a temporary foster home, he has adjusted to a new routine and showing his cheeky side. He has been doing well with his training including being left alone for short periods of time, meeting new people and settling down in the evening.
It will be really important that new owners take an active approach to Jimmy’s training, he is still very young and making sure he has clear boundaries will be really important.
Jimmy is really looking for a home in a more rural setting with plenty of green spaces and fields where he can explore. He would struggle in a home in built up busy area.
Jimmy could potentially live with another dog, he has been sharing his foster home with another Spaniel. They have got on well and like to play but do need time apart to make sure the game stops and he will rest. An existing dog would need to be able to cope with a playful puppy with plenty of energy, owners need to manage and make sure play time does have breaks.
Jimmy will be a spirited addition to the right home, but is more of a project that is full of fun and will reward you with plenty of love back.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Jimmy, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming.
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
