More about Kingsley

Handsome Kingsley is a young Tibetan Terrier who came to Battersea with some fellow canine friends from the same home. He is a bright and active boy who loves his people and has been spending time in a foster home with another dog.

Kingsley is very used to living with other dogs and has generally been a friendly and sociable boy he can be a little excited at times with his foster friend and does enjoy boisterous play, he could live another neutered dog in his new home, pending intros at our Brands Hatch site. The other dog would need to be a interactive, socially appropriate dog who is respectful of boundaries and does not engage in overly boisterous play. A mature dog who is comfortable sharing space , following seeing his behaviours on foster we feel that he might be too much to live with a cat, but would be open to considering other animals in the home.

Kingsley is not house trained so she will need his own garden and patient owners to help him with this. He would also like his new owners to be around with her most of the time to begin as he is so used to company, this is an area we have seen that he particular struggles with and have found that he can cry and howl when his main care giver is not around. He will need a sympathetic approach to building up the time he is left alone in the house. Being a young pup he has not spent much time out exploring the world so will need an gentle introduction to the wider world. Kingsley enjoys playing with toys, especially soft and squeaky ones, so his owners could use these to build bonds with her when first taking him home.

Due to Kingsley's coat type, she will need dedicated owners who understand the importance of maintaining her coat properly. Owners will need to spend time brushing him everyday and will need to factor in the financial responsibility of monthly trips to the groomer to keep her coat and skin in good condition and prevent him from becoming uncomfortable, matted or suffering from skin infections.
