Loki is a handsome German Shepherd Cross who is full of character, affection and fun. He loves spending time with his favourite people and is sure to keep his new family entertained with his playful nature and enthusiasm for life.
An active boy, Loki enjoys getting out and about for his walks and exploring the world around him. While he can walk nicely on lead when there are no distractions, he can become overexcited when he sees other dogs, which may result in him becoming vocal and strong on lead. Loki has been making good progress with training to help manage these reactions and his new owners will need to be committed to continuing this work once he settles into his new home.
Despite his excitement around other dogs, Loki is friendly and enjoys greeting canine companions. He is playful with other dogs and could happily live with a confident dog who can be a positive role model for him.
Loki will need plenty of physical exercise alongside regular mental stimulation to keep his mind occupied. He would benefit from enrichment activities, training sessions and problem-solving games to help channel his energy in positive ways. A home with a private, secure garden is essential, giving him a safe space to stretch his legs and burn off some energy.
When meeting new people, Loki can be a little bouncy as he says hello. He also tends to mouth when he becomes overexcited, so he is looking for a home with teenagers and older children who can understand and manage these behaviours appropriately.
One of the quickest ways to Loki's heart is through food, as he absolutely loves his treats. He is also a big fan of paddling pools and enjoys splashing around whenever he gets the opportunity.
Loki is looking for a family who can continue his training, provide plenty of enrichment, and give him the love and guidance he needs.
Potential owners will need to speak with a Battersea vet prior to rehoming Loki.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
