More about Lulu

Meet our quirky Toy Poodle cross Lulu!

Little Lulu has shown to be very worried of the world, finding loud noises overwhelming and was very shut down when she first arrived into our care, finding it too frightening to go on walks. However, over time with a lot of patience and understanding this little lady has come right out of her shell and enjoys trotting about in our quiet fields!

She could tolerate other calm and steady doggie housemates, but she is quite independent, choosing human contact first. When out and about, she can find excitable and intrusive dogs a bit too much, so she would rather take things at her own gentle pace. She’s a sensitive soul and can find loud noises and busy environments a little difficult, so peace and quiet would suit her best.

Part of Lulu’s care will include looking after her coat. When she came to us, she was severely matted and was very uncomfortable. She is looking for new owners to take her to a groomer who will take a slow and steady approach with her, and she would like to be introduced to the groomer a couple of times before needing a groom. Lulu will also find it reassuring for her new owners to stay with her during her first couple of grooming visits as she will likely be worried.

Lulu would love a nice quiet private garden where she can feel safe, which will also help bonding, confidence gaining and continue her house training. She would need a calm, patient and sympathetic owner to help her settle into a new home, preferably to be with her most of the time to begin with, building up time alone.

If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Lulu, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.

We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here (https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming).

Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
