More about Mac'aroni
Say hello to our big scrummy boy Mac'aroni!
This sweet boy was found straying, so we don't have much history of him prior to him coming into our care, but he has been a real charmer on site. Mac is a very large boy and has the strength to match but doesn’t seem to realise this and loves nothing more than climbing onto laps for cuddles.
Mac is very friendly with everyone he has met but may need some reminding to keep all his feet on the floor. Mac also has good social skills with other dogs, however, can be intense on greet and lacks some manners. He loves a fuss and has been a very good boy for all his vet checks and a groom.
Mac is looking for new owners who have some previous experience owning large breeds and have an understanding of how strong they can be, and the ability to manage this on lead. As a stray he will also need dedicated new owners who have the patience to introduce him to life in a home. Mac has struggled with his stress while in kennels so will be looking for a quieter home location with owners who will be able to be with him most of the time while he settles in, gradually building up his time alone once he is fully settled in.
Due to his strength on lead, Mac will need a multi-carer house hold where both owners can support with his walks while working on his loose lead walking. He will also need his own private garden for burn offs and offlead time as he works on his manners around other dogs. He can live with teens and up who are able to read him and give him space when he needs it, but would be too much for younger children as he doesn’t know his own strength. He will need to be the only pet in the household.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Macaroni, you can email our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here (https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming).
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
