Marshall is an energetic and enthusiastic dog looking for an active home. He is a lively character who enjoys walks, playtime, and opportunities to keep both his body and mind occupied. With the right guidance and ongoing training, Marshall will be an enjoyable and rewarding addition to the family.
Marshall would benefit from owners who can provide plenty of exercise, structure and enrichment, helping him thrive and reach his full potential. Due to his high energy and ongoing training, Marshall is looking for his new home to have a private and secure garden. This will provide him an area where he can stretch his legs off lead and practice training without any distractions.
He enjoys meeting new people and is currently working on calmer interactions as he can be boisterous and jump up. Marshall will be suited to a home with older teenagers who are comfortable around larger dogs and happy to continue encouraging his training.
Marshall has been friendly and excitable around other dogs, he has been known to be over the top in play and can be a pester during interactions. He has ongoing training to improve his behaviour and he has been making lots of progress. As he is working on his socialisation around other dogs, he is best suited to be the only pet in the household.
He is very food motivated and this will come in handy for his new owners to continue his training and utilise food for different enrichment purposes while he is settling into his new environment.
Marshall loves his toys, his favourites are soft toys and tennis balls. He enjoys entertaining himself or playing with handlers. He has been practicing scent work with tennis balls and proved to enjoy this. New owners can utilise this as a way of encouraging Marshall to use his nose and work his brain to de-stress and settle.
Marshall will be a fun-loving and enthusiastic companion for his new owners.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
