More about Meadow

Meadow has slowly but surely blossomed during her time with us, happy to make friends with our staff here at Battersea Old Windsor.

When she first arrived, the world felt overwhelming, but with patience and gentle handling she has grown in confidence. Meadow is still a sensitive little girl, so she’s looking for a calm, quiet household in a peaceful location, with her own garden where she can settle at her own pace and feel secure.

During her time in foster care, Meadow bonded very quickly with her carer. She loved curling up on the sofa, staying close, and enjoying the comfort of companionship. However, she did struggle to share her person with other dogs in the home, so Meadow is looking for a family where she can be the only dog. Outside the home she was much more relaxed, enjoying meeting and socialising with other dogs on walks.

Meadow hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet and can be a little picky with food, but with time, patience, and the right environment, she may continue to grow in confidence and curiosity. She enjoys her walks but isn’t a hiker once she’s had her walk through the neighbourhood, she’s happiest snuggled up on the sofa, watching the world go by.

Meadow has so much love to give and will thrive with someone who understands her sensitive nature and can offer a steady, reassuring routine.
