More about Mirrie

Beautiful Mirrie is a young Tibetan Terrier who came to Battersea with some fellow canine friends from the same home. She is a bright and active girl who enjoys going out for walks and hanging out with her humans.

Mirrie is very used to living with other dogs and has generally been a friendly and sociable lady while on site, a little hesitant but polite when greeting other dogs and then happy to potter around independently of them in a relaxed manner. Mirrie could live with another dog in his new home, pending intros at our Brands Hatch site. The other dog would need to be a calm, socially appropriate dog who is respectful of boundaries and does not engage in overly boisterous play. A mature dog who is comfortable sharing space but does not require constant interaction from Mirrie would likely be the most suitable match for her. Mirrie could also potentially live with a calm and confident cat, as long as new owners are willing to follow all advice regarding introducing her to a resident cat.

Mirrie is not house trained so she will need her own garden and patient owners to help her with this. She would also like her new owners to be around with her most of the time to begin as she is so used to company, and she will need a sympathetic approach to building up the time she is left alone in the house. She is currently quite underweight, so will need his owners to continue with her diet plan to help her achieve a healthy weight. Mirrie enjoys playing with toys, especially soft and squeaky ones, so her owners could use these to build bonds with her when first taking her home.

Due to Mirrie's coat type, she will need dedicated owners who understand the importance of maintaining her coat properly. Owners will need to spend time brushing her everyday and will need to factor in the financial responsibility of monthly trips to the groomer to keep her coat and skin in good condition and prevent her from becoming uncomfortable, matted or suffering from skin infections.
