More about Nala

Meet our big and beautiful Nala! This lady loves to lounge on sofas and cuddle up with her favourite people. She is very tactile and loves to be stroked and gently massaged!

Nala is a bit of a worried girl and needs new owners who are patient and understanding that she likely won't leave the house for a while. It is also a possibility that as Nala has been this way her whole life, she may not make it out on walks and would instead prefer to have a quiet garden to relax in and have as her outside area. New owners should understand that pushing Nala to face what she finds scary will have adverse effects and would likely slow down or even stop bonds being built. We have taken Nala to private fields as she travels well in the car, so she would love her new owners to continue taking her to places like this where she feels safe. It is recommend that the new owners have experience with dogs with severe anxiety and worry before due to her lack of confidence.

However she has grown in confidence here and made so much progress here, but she will still get worried when we try to extend her world. Nala will need to go to a home with a private garden to help build her confidence as it may take her some time to fully settle into a new home. Nala has also shown some reactions to strangers when she feels worried by them but is able to make friends quickly and food is the key to her heart!
