More about Nimba

Nimba is a vibrant, affectionate Husky cross Labrador based at our Old Windsor centre.

This fun-loving, active dog thrives on having plenty of exercise and learning new training - she is clever and already knows alot of commands such as sit, wait, flat (to lay down on her side), paw, crawl to name a few. She is also housetrained and travels well in the car, as well as being settled and well-mannered at home when her owners are around.

Nimba has a very high chase drive with any wildlife, horses and livestock and this is something that has been seen consistently. She will need to have her own very secure garden where she can have some off lead exercise as, to be able to keep her and other animals safe, she will need to be on lead on her walks. She is a bit of an escape artist if she wants to go and chase something, so her home and garden so need to be very secure and suitable for her. She'd love the opportunity to run off lead and explore in secure areas such as hired dog fields.

When she is at home, Nimba is very loving and gentle and gets alot from being with people. So much so, she can struggle when being left alone and this is something that her owners will need to work on gradually, and appreciate that this will take some time and dedication to improve.

Nimba enjoys greeting other dogs and is friendly and playful. She can sometimes forget her size and get a little too playful with some dogs, but she'll like to regularly meet with other confident dogs for on-lead walks. Nimba needs to live as the only pet in her new home.
