Meet Odin, an affectionate and enthusiastic Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home that can match his playful personality while also appreciating his love of a good snooze!
This friendly boy loves spending time with his favourite people, whether that’s having a cuddle, enjoying some fuss or getting involved in one of his favourite water games. He’s equally capable of taking himself off to relax and loves having a cosy space of his own.
Odin is an intelligent boy who already knows some useful basics and enjoys working with his handlers. He can get very excited when meeting people, so he’d love adopters who can continue helping him practise calm greetings and good engagement.
Odin will need to be the only dog in his new home and cannot live with cats, but he can enjoy appropriate social contact with dogs while out and about. He recently enjoyed a trip to the park where he successfully passed off-lead dogs, joggers, cyclists and wildlife without concern. He can live with sensible teenagers who are able to get involved with his training and continue encouraging all four paws to stay on the floor.
Odin loves his walks, sniffing adventures, food enrichment and interactive toys. His recall still needs some work, so he’ll need sensible management while this continues to develop. He will also need access to a secure private garden where he can enjoy some safe off-lead time and continue his training.
He has historically been sensitive about his paws following some difficult nail-clipping experiences, but recently did brilliantly during a bath and groom, showing only some mild uncertainty when his paws were handled. His new family can continue building his confidence through patient and positive handling.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
