More about Olivia

Olivia is a very timid and sensitive Greyhound; she is slowly but surely getting used to her environment here at our Old Windsor site with help from her doggy friends.

Olivia has found lots of situations worrying and takes her time to build confidence. We have found that she gets a lot of reassurance from other dogs especially other Greyhounds and calm Lurchers and is a lot more confident and curious in new environments.

We can see her personality shining through more every day around other dogs so we feel it is best for her to live with another steady and confident dog who would be happy to show Olivia the ropes in her new home.

She has struggled with meeting new people during her stay with us and is much more comfortable approaching and having gentle fuss with another dog present. Due to her anxious side, we feel it is best for Olivia to live in an adult only household.

She is looking for patient owners as she has ongoing training with slow exposure and continuing positive association to new experiences.

It will take time for Olivia to settle, get used to new routines and basic training. Olivia will need a private and secure garden to provide her a safe space to start slowly adjusting to her new environment.

Olivia will be a rewarding project to her new owners and potential new dog friends. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Olivia, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bow.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
