More about Ozzy

Meet Optimistic Ozzy our happy go lucky Patterdale pup.

Ozzy came to Battersea through no fault of his own, he was brought to us by a partner organisation so we only have a brief history for his behaviour before arriving here at London. He has been a lovely little lad since getting here and has made quite the impression on his care group.

This bubbly little terrier is true to his breed being high energy and a busy young man curious about everything. He has a sweet nature with a worried side but warms up quickly and his playful personality is clear for all to see. At only 1 years old he still has a lot of maturing to do with continued training and socialisation when he gets to his new home, he will need a little desensitisation training around handling and some constructive socialisation with other dogs to ensure he matures into a well rounded social little man.

He is a happy little soul so he would love a home that has the time and resources for him to go on adventures with them, where he can enjoy an active lifestyle, that would suit him down to the ground. His new owners should also provide plenty of mental stimulation for this on the go young man to keep his mind as well as his body exercised fully, and when he's tired we are sure that he would enjoy nothing more than curling up with his new owners and enjoying some down time. He would do best with owners that can stagger his time alone gradually as we have no history of him being left on his own and he gets so excited to see his known people.

Ozzy likes other dogs and enjoys playing with them, he does still have a few manners to learn however to mature into the well rounded social fella we know he can be. He would prefer to live alone whilst his socialisation is continued regularly in a neutral space outside the home, but would love to have some steady walking buddies who can help him learn the finer points of doggy etiquette as well as run around and have fun together.
