Meet Patsy, she is an incredibly sensitive soul who finds many aspects of everyday life quite overwhelming. New people, unfamiliar environments, sudden noises, and changes to routine can all be worrying for her, so she is looking for new owners who can help her navigate the world at her own pace.
Patsy will take some time to trust new people and will need plenty of patience, understanding, and space whilst she settles in. Patsy new home needs to have a private and secure garden to give her a safe space for off lead time and exploring her new environment while she builds her confidence.
During her socialisation here with us we have found that Patsy prefers her own space and does not get too much from the presence of other dogs. While Patsy builds her confidence in her new home and work on positive socialisation we feel it is best for Patsy to be the only pet in the household.
Patsy will need lots of time and patience while she slowly comes out of her shell, as she is quite shut down due to her worry and lack of socialisation an adult only home would be the best set up for Patsy. We do feel however, with the right home and guidance she will blossom and show her true potential.
New owners will need to understand that progress may be slow and prepared to celebrate the small milestones along the way. For those willing to give Patsy the time and space she needs, they will gain a rewarding companion.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
