More about Phoebe (and Alfie)
Phoebe and Alfie met and fell in love at Battersea Old Windsor They are a gentle bonded pair of Greyhounds looking for a home where they can stay together and continue supporting one another. Phoebe is 3 years old and is the tan Greyhound and Alfie is 4 years old and is the black Greyhound. They are both based at Battersea Old Windsor.
Phoebe is a very sensitive girl who finds the outside world quite overwhelming. She will need patient, kind, understanding new owners who can give her the time and space she needs to slowly build trust and settle at her own pace. Phoebe gains a lot of confidence from Alfie and she will likely follow him everywhere, especially when they are settling in.
Alfie, on the other hand, is the steadier and more confident of the two. He takes new things more in stride and plays a vital role in helping Phoebe navigate situations that she might otherwise find too daunting.
Because of Phoebe’s worries, they are looking for a quiet home in a peaceful location, with their own private and secure garden.
Both dogs share a love of food, which is a great way to bond with them. They particularly enjoy food toys and enrichment activities, which can help build Phoebe's confidence while keeping Alfie mentally stimulated.
They would ideally do best in a home with more than one adult, allowing both dogs to receive the attention and support they need.
Phoebe is currently having medication prescribed by our veterinary team to help with her anxiety, which she should be able to wean off once fully settled into her new home. Any new owner would need to speak to one of our veterinary team if interested in rehoming this adorable pair.
