More about Pixie
Our pint sized Pixie is small but mighty! This tiny bean came into our care after being found straying and we believe she may be a Jack Russell crossed with a Chihuahua. She is a very affectionate little lady and loves human company.
This sweet girl can be a little worried at times if she is feeling overwhelmed and has been house trained in kennels, so it is important she has her own private garden as a space for toileting and to feel safe and secure. She can be avoiding and unsure of other dogs, so would prefer to be the only dog in her new home where she is able to lap up all of her owner's attention! She may be able to live with a confident cat who is used to dogs.
Pixie does like the sound of her voice and can be vocal when she wants attention, or if she is excited by something such as being harnessed to go for a walk. Her new owners will need to be able to be at home with her for the majority of the time while she settles into her new environment and to build up the time she is left alone slowly and sympathetically, following our advice. Pixie loves to play with her toys, especially tennis balls, and her new owners can use toy play sessions to build a bod with her and work on her basic obedience, such as her lovely 'sit' cue.
