More about Roxy
Roxy is our beautiful Staffy mix, with soft golden fur and a sweet little face. Roxy is still very juvenile and has already passed through a couple of homes despite her tender age, so she is really hoping that she will soon find her forever family where she can grow in confidence and be loved.
This youngster does have a sensitive side and can find certain things overwhelming. Initially, she would become quite unsure when going back to her kennel and lay on the floor. However, she has made great progress with her confidence during her time with us and has even visited a local village high street, where she did very well.
Roxy LOVES both her food and her toys, meaning she has fabulous motivations for further training. She especially likes to play tug of war games, and eats her food from food puzzles which keep her active brain occupied! Roxy knows a 'sit' cue and walks relatively well on her harness and collar. She has the potential to learn so much more with dedicated new owners.
She is not overly used to being handled for veterinary checks and will offer diffusing behaviours, such as rolling over and fidgeting. She enjoys playing with other dogs when off lead, but does need to be the only dog in her new home as she was too over zealous for the dog she lived with previously and does need some ongoing support with her social skills around other dogs, particularly when on lead. Roxy will need a private garden for some house training reminders and could live with teenagers who are used to boisterous young bull breeds.
