More about Sailor
Sailor is a bright and lively Belgian Shepherd cross located at Battersea Old Windsor. Sailor is gaining confidence, but everything is very new so he will need a supportive home to develop into well rounded adult.
Although he is nervous of new people, he quickly makes friends and enjoys having a fuss and showing his cheeky side. He is a typical puppy and can nip and mouth at times so will need management and training at home.
Sailor is an energetic intelligent breed, as he is growing and maturing it's really important he is given enough mental and physical stimulation to tire him out and help him socialise with the world. An active home that has experience of high energy breeds will be hugely helpful for Sailor.
He loves all toys, but squeaky soft toys are his favourite. We often see him having a fun game on his own but he’s just as happy for people to join the game too. Squeaky teddy has been the favoured one so far.
Sailor has already picked up a few tricks knowing sit, paw and down. ‘Wait’ is still a work in progress but with tasty treat he is eager to learn.
Confidence around dogs has been another area we have worked on, it's clear he hasn’t seen much of the world yet, so he is taking it all in now. Initially he was nervous of dogs but has been mixing with dogs slowly and learning that having friends is fun. This will be important area to work on in the home, keeping up his social skills and gaining confidence so he can meet all dogs when out on adventures.
Sailor will be rewarding project for a new family; intelligent, fun and eager to learn. All great traits for a new spirited member of the family.
