Meet our fluffy bundle of joy, Shadow!
Shadow is a young, playful & oh so enthusiastic Cockerpoo pup who loves all things people and dogs. Since arriving with us, he has been lots of fun to look after, showing us his spunky personality from the get-go. Shadow is looking for a home with a garden away from the inner city where he can continue developing his training, as he is still a young pup. Shadow could potentially live with an older, role-model dog, pending a successful introduction, who can show him the ropes, as he currently lacks a lot of basic manners!
While with us, Shadow has shown signs of separation anxiety, which is reflective of his history. For this reason, he is looking for patient owners with experience supporting dogs with separation-related behaviours, who can help him build confidence when left alone. He is also a super high-energy boy looking for an active home that can provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation to meet his needs and set him up for success in adulthood.
Due to his energy & enthusiasm, this young lad can get carried away at times and use his mouth when excited. Because of this, he would be best suited to an adult-only household with owners who can remain calm, provide consistent training, and help him learn to regulate his excitement. For all of the above reasons, Shadow is looking for experienced owners who have worked with young, full-on puppies and dogs displaying overstimulated behaviours. He will thrive in an active household that can keep up with his energy and general lust for life!
For owners with a keen interest in training, this boy has bundles of potential and will no doubt make you laugh with his cheeky antics!

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
