More about SHADOW

Shadow is an affectionate and exuberant dog with a heart of gold. If he was smaller he’d try to be a lap dog and likes to get as close to you as possible for a fuss and back scratch. He is based at our Old Windsor centre.

Shadow has bundles of energy and is looking for an active new home where he can go on fun walks. He can be strong on lead, especially if he wants to get to sniff something or greet people or other dogs, so his owners will need to be able to comfortably walk him. He is however very responsive and keen to learn and he has quickly picked up the training that has been put in place to help with this, though he does sometimes forget this when he’s excited.

Shadow is looking to be the only dog in his new home as he can pester some dogs. He will need to still greet and go for walks with other dogs so that he can develop his etiquette.

One of Shadow’s favourite things to do is throw soft toys around and chase after tennis balls. He also loves his food and the occasional treat of a crunchy carrot; utilising treats or toys for training would be ideal for him.

He’s such a cheerful, loyal dog who we feel with some further training will be a fantastic part of his new family.
