Meet our handsome Greyhound, Sid!

He came to us from another rescue, so we have no information about his past. What we do know is that Sid is a sweet, affectionate boy who quickly forms bonds and adores being around people. He’s friendly and playful, with a bouncy personality that shines through once he’s comfortable.

Unlike many ex-racers, Sid hasn’t shown strong chase instincts He’s interacted calmly with small dogs, even when they’ve run around near him, and he’s been to the park without displaying any prey drive. Sid will still need to be muzzled and kept onlead at all times when being walked in public.

Sid is looking for a home that’s comfortable handling a larger breed, ideally with someone familiar with greyhounds or willing to learn about their unique traits. He doesn’t require a highly experienced owner but would do best with someone calm, confident, and patient.

Sid has met quite a few dogs whilst in our care. He was mainly independent preferring to stick with his bonded people. He's not as keen if the other dogs are too much or too in his face, but when you're a calmer soul, high energy can be a lot to deal with. He'll benefit from calm and steady friends to walk with and owners happy to advocate for him around boisterous dogs.

Sid is a lovely companion with so much love to give! He’s just waiting for the right home to help him settle and thrive for his next chapter in life.
