Say hello to this youngster, Simba!
Simba is a handsome, bouncy Staffie boy who loves having fun, playing and spending time with his favourite people and doggy friends. He has a cleft palate, but this hasn't stopped him enjoying life, playing with his toys or giving licks to the people he loves!
As a young dog, Simba is still learning his manners and will need a family who can continue his training, helping him practise calm behaviour and keep his paws on the floor when he gets excited. He can be a little sensitive at times, but with a gentle approach and a reassuring voice, he soon comes out of his shell. On foster Simba has shown to be toileting in the home. His new owners must be prepared to carry out this training with the support of having a garden space.
Simba is full of energy and will benefit from walks in quieter areas where he can explore and burn off some energy without feeling overwhelmed. He will need ongoing training and guidance as he matures.
Simba can live with confident teenagers who are comfortable around bouncy young dogs and can be involved in helping him learn some manners. He may also be able to live with a well-matched, confident dog who can tolerate his enthusiastic play style, although this will depend on the individual match.
Simba will need a cat-free home, as well as access to his own private garden. He would be best suited to a home away from the busy inner city, where he can enjoy a calmer environment and quieter walking routes.
Simba is a lovely character with plenty of fun and affection to share. He's ready to find a family who can help him settle in, continue his training and make lots of happy memories together!

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
