More about Stella

Stella is an affectionate and delightful German Shepherd cross who is currently based at our Old Windsor centre.

Stella can be a little shy when meeting you for the first time but if you take a slow approach with her, she will quickly come out of her shell and make friends easily. Her confidence has grown since being in our care, She has become a social butterfly who will actively seek out interaction as she loves having a gentle fuss.

At this moment in time, Stella would be looking to be the only dog in the home. Stella has shown a mix of behaviours around other dogs, she can be uncomfortable around dogs who are too pushy with their interactions and does struggle with face to face greetings. She currently has training in place to help with her socialisation skills which she has been making progress with and Stella has been able to make friends with dogs of a calm, steady nature.

Stella is a bright girl, who currently knows a sit and can give both paws. It would be fun for her to learn know tricks to help give her the mental stimulation she needs. She also loves a tennis ball so would be happy to play a small game of fetch

Stella would make an endearing and rewarding companion for her new owners.
