More about Stella

Stella is an affectionate and delightful dog who is based at Battersea Old Windsor.

Stella has lived in a home previously and has been house trained and travelled well in the car, often sleeping when travelling. She is currently spending some time in a temporary foster home and has quickly made herself at home, she enjoys playing with her toys and curling up to relax. She is relaxed at home and will seek affection from her foster carer by nudging them gently with her nose, and she is also happy to settle independently and rest.

At this moment in time, Stella is looking to be the only dog in the home. She is not a dog that wants a lot of interaction with dogs and will sniff to greet but then likes her space. She is a little more comfortable with smaller dogs and would enjoy some gentle walks with similar dogs when she’s settled at home.

Stella loves her toys and will either have a game with her foster carers or throw toys around on her own, which is very entertaining to watch. Stella may be able to be left alone for shorter periods of time once she is fully settled at home. She enjoys her walks and likes to spend time sniffing so they are not always the fastest walks, and she gets very excited when her foster carer puts their shoes on as she knows she is going out.

Stella is a bright girl, who currently knows a sit and can give both paws.

Stella will make an endearing and rewarding companion for her new owners. She has quickly captured the heart of her foster carer and has been described as a ‘truly lovely dog’.
