More about Taggie
Say hello to our little lovely, Teddy!
Teddy is a sweet Maltese cross. Although we have limited history on her, she has shown herself to be a friendly, gentle and calm little lady while in our care.
Teddy has adapted well to life onsite, although she has shown some typical kennel stress and can be a little needy at times. She loves human company and is happily soaking up all the cuddles she can get!
Teddy previously lived with a lively French Bulldog but wasn't keen on him jumping all over her. She has shown herself to be quite independent around other dogs, happily having a sniff before choosing to do her own thing. For this reason, Teddy will need to be the only pet in the home.
Teddy would suit owners with some basic dog experience who can give her time to settle into her new surroundings. She would prefer a home away from the busy inner city, where she can enjoy a calmer lifestyle. Her own private garden would be a bonus, although it isn't essential, and she could live with teenagers who can give her the space she needs.
Teddy is a lovely little companion who enjoys the finer things in life, especially a cosy lap and plenty of fuss. She's ready to find a home where she can settle in and enjoy all the love and attention she deserves.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Teddy, you can e-mail our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual dog, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here: https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/dogs
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
