More about Tayto
Meet gorgeous Tayto, one of our 7 adorable Crisp Pups!
Tayto is one of an accidental litter of 7 and arrived on site with his brothers and sisters. He is the fluffiest of the boys and an absolute cuddlebug! Tayto is a very sweet puppy who enjoys plenty of affection but is also always ready for a little play with his siblings. He has a lovely balance of being cuddly and playful, making him a particularly endearing little character.
As he is so young and lacking all his vaccines, he has not been able to go outside or socialise with many dogs. As such, we're not sure how he would cope with things like traffic or large populations of dogs. Despite this, Tayto has been confident with general handling and meeting new people. He is looking for a new home who will be confident in exposing him to the world as he grows and matures.
He could potentially live with a role model dog who will teach him the ropes as he settles into his new home. He could also live with cats or other animal pets with any required introductions starting from scratch.
Tayto could live with children with an understanding of how to interact with young dogs and will cope well with any puppy mouthing that is to be expected!
As he is so young, he will require a garden space to slowly expose him to the outside world once he is fully vaccinated. He could live in any location so long as his owners have access to that garden space and can gradually expose him to scarier things such as traffic or public transport!
Tayto would suit patient, dedicated first-time dog owners or those with experience, who understand the commitment involved in raising a puppy and are keen to continue his training and socialisation. With time, patience and plenty of affection, Tayto has all the potential to grow into a wonderfully sweet, playful and loving companion.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Tayto, you can e-mail our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual dog, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/dogs
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
