More about Teddy

Meet Teddy, our 8-year-old Labradoodle!

Teddy came Battersea due to a change in his previous owners' housing circumstances. He arrived with a lovely history of having lived with his family of 2 adults and 2 older children for 8 years, who described him as being affectionate, playful, bouncy, excitable and absolutely loving his people, or any people for that matter, he was friendly with everyone he met. Teddy was also said to really love other dogs and was friendly and playful both on and off lead, although had to be reminded of his size when playing with smaller dogs.

We have seen the same character throughout his stay, Teddy is a lovely older gentleman who still has lots of energy, especially when it comes to playing his favourite game of fetch, which, if given the chance, he will play for hours, tossing the ball back without needing to be asked. He has been friendly and affectionate with everyone he's met and friendly and playful, steady and independent and clear with his body language and behaviour with the dogs he has met.

Teddy's previous owners said that he was uncomfortable around young children and would guard his space, toys and food when they visited his home so Teddy is would prefer to live with older children and adults with some experience in caring for a dog who may struggle around his resources.

As Teddy his moving into his senior years, he is looking for a home with a garden, in any location that is calm and quiet, but he still has plenty of pep in his step.
