More about Toadette
Meet Toadette, the happy and affectionate Staffordshire Bull Terrier!
She is very social and adores spending time with people, along with a good game of tug with her favourite toys.
Toadette found kennels stressful, and she underwent surgery on her back leg, so she was placed in a foster home to recover.
Since on foster she settled really well and is a calm dog at home, including building up to spending short period alone with no issues.
She would suit committed first-time Staffordshire Bull Terrier owners or with some previous dog experience who can continue building her confidence and rewarding calm behaviours as she settles into her new home.
Toadette has shown lovely social skills with both male and female dogs and could happily live with a well-matched canine companion following successful introductions.
As she came into our care as a stray, we don’t know her history around cats or small animals, so she is looking for a home without them.
Due to her enthusiastic nature and tendency to jump up when excited, Toadette is looking for a home with sensible school-aged children or older.
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will happily join you on adventures before curling up for cuddles at the end of the day, Toadette could be the perfect addition to your family. With patience, routine and plenty of positive reinforcement, she’s ready to leave kennel life behind and become a much-loved member of her forever home.
If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Toadette, you can e-mail our rehoming team on rehoming@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.
We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual dog, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehome/dogs
Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about
Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
