More about Tom (BOW dog)

Tom is a young Bichon Frise cross who is looking for family that can provide him with guidance as he continues to develop his social skills. He is an affectionate and enthusiastic companion who enjoys spending time with people and will thrive with owners who are committed to helping him channel his energy in positive ways.

Tom will benefit from regular walks, and he is particularly fond of our woodland walk on site. Tom has shown that he is keen to meet both people and dogs. He loves attention from people and will often jump up to ask for a fuss. New owners will need to encourage him to be calm when meeting people.

Around dogs, Tom is generally friendly and enjoys greeting them, although he can be vocal before saying hello. He has occasionally shown some overexcited behaviours with other dogs, including trying to hump when off lead. Tom may be able to live with a calm, similarly sized dog who is confident and able to act as a good role model but who will also help to set some boundaries for Tom.

Tom is not yet housetrained and will need regular access to an outdoor space while he develops a consistent routine. A home with a secure private garden will give him the opportunity to relax and explore without always needing to head out on a walk. He's a perky chap who sometimes likes the sound of his own bark when he's out on walks but after a longer walk he often relaxes and is more settled.

We feel that once Tom has had an opportunity to adjust to his new home he will bring lots of joy and fun to his new home.
