Meet Nahla our sweet little Jackahuahua pup!
She comes to Battersea with a lovely history for her first 4 months of life. Nahla previously lived with her brother and parents and was described as being a typical puppy who loved to play with the other dogs and was affectionate, loving cuddles with her humans.
Due to being so young and not fully vaccinated, Nahla hasn't met many dogs outside of her family and will need gentle exposure to the big wide world once she is able to start going out for walks. She was said to be very playful and confident with the other dogs in the home but onsite was a little worried.
Nahla is the sweetest little pup who loves a comfy lap and snuggles, enjoying being as close to her humans as possible. Nahla is looking for a new home in any location as long as there are quiet walking routes to help her gain confidence at her own pace. She doesn't mind if there's no garden as long as new owners can take her out regularly to meet her exercise and stimulation needs. Nahla could potentially live with another dog, cat or other small animal and is happy to go to any family environment, be it a single carer, couple or family with older children.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
