Meet lovely Violet, our adorable Cane Corso cross puppy with legs for days and a big heart!
Violet arrived on site as a stray meaning we unfortunately do not have any information on her history. Despite this, she has taken Battersea life in her stride! She loves everyone and anyone she meets and wants nothing but all the fuss. She is a typical cuddly, playful young puppy.
As Violet has been so confident around handling and new people, she could potentially live with children. However, Violet is only 5 months old and already almost 20kg! She is going to be a very big girl and at the moment she doesn't understand that. She's very bouncy and like most puppies, can be mouthy. If to live with children, Violet would be better suited to living with confident older children (10+) who will not take offence to any accidental bulldozing or be intimidated by puppy mouthing.
Violet has shown some lovely budding social skills with dogs and is always down to play. Again, she forgets that she's quite big! Bigger than the adult dogs she's met! She can throw her limbs around in play, is very bouncy and doesn't know the meaning of the word 'stop'. She's a juvenile lady in need of some manners training which comes with experience. She could potentially live with a role model dog in the home but that dog will need to be robust and tolerant of juvenile behaviour. Otherwise, she is happy and ready to make all the friends outside of her home. She could also potentially live with a dog savvy-cat with the correct set up and slow introductions.
Violet could live anywhere, including the inner city, so long as she has access to a private garden for training and gradual exposure to ensure she is confident facing the big wide world when her vaccines are all complete.
Violet is now looking for her forever family. She is ideally looking for new owners with previous experience with large to giant breeds who are confident handling and socialising a big dog. She just wants a family she can shower with affection.

Rehoming FAQs
Here at Battersea, we assess all of our dogs individually and create a rehoming profile for them. To ensure successful matches between people and pets, we use a combination of extensive rehoming experience, our staff expertise and the information you provided in your rehoming form. Once you complete your online registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know that we have everything we need to begin our matchmaking process, as well as the next steps of the process.
This may not always be the dog you thought it would be, which is why we ask that you see the registration form as a way of registering your interest in rehoming, not an application for a specific animal. We’re experts in making sure we find the right home for our dogs and the right dog for your home.

Once you’ve completed our online registration form, we’ll handle the rest. Your rehoming registration will be open for up to three months, and in that time, we’ll do our very best to try and match you with a pet that best suits you and your lifestyle. It can take a bit of time for us to try and match you with a pet – but we promise it’s time well spent. We’re committed to getting to know every animal at our centres before finding a match that works for our dogs and for you wherever possible.
If we are not able to match you with a dog within three months, we’ll let you know and offer guidance to help you continue your search, either at Battersea or beyond.

Our rehoming fee is £230 for dogs (over six months), £350 for a pair of dogs, or £275 for puppies (under six months). We accept cash or debit/credit card as payment (we are unable to accept cheques). Included in this cost are the following:
- Microchipping
- Initial vaccinations, flea and worming treatment
- Neutering
- A collar, identification tag and lead
- Starter pack of food, advice and special offers
- Four weeks’ free Petplan insurance as your dog settles into their new surroundings
Something to bear in mind is that our rehoming fee is just the beginning of the costs involved with owning a dog. We would recommend that before making the decision to rehome, you investigate the costs of pet food, pet insurance, grooming and fees at your local veterinary centre so that you are fully prepared for the financial implications of bringing a dog into your home.
