More about Winnie

Winnie is our gorgeous liver and white Cocker Spaniel who greets everyone with a toy in her mouth and a wiggly bottom! She loves to spend time with people and is a regular in our offices at Battersea Brands Hatch, lapping up attention and strokes before settling down.

She sadly came into our care as a stray and has likely been used over and over again for breeding. Now she is ready for her new start life, having completed all of her behavioural and medical assessments. Winnie is looking for a new home where her new owners can be around with her for most of the time and slowly get her used to being left on her own. She has shown to be a friendly girl with other dogs but largely independent, so could potentially live with a steady and calm companion who won't push her to play, pending intros on site.

Winnie has remained house trained while in our care and knows a 'sit' and a 'down' cue. She loves to play with her toys and really enjoys sniffing in the grass in our fields, as you would expect from a busy bee spaniel! She can be a little worried when meeting new people, often rolling onto her side and wagging her tail between her legs, so needs owners who understand this comes from a place of uncertainty and is not an invitation for a belly rub. She is an absolute delight and will be a wonderful dog to share a house with!

We ask every customer to first complete our online form before we discuss an individual animal, so if you have not filled in our form yet you can find the details on how to do so here https://www.battersea.org.uk/rehoming

If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about wonderful Winnie, you can e-mail our rehoming team on bbh.rehomers@battersea.org.uk to register your interest.

Please be aware that we have a large amount of interest in rehoming our animals, so we are only able to contact those that are a match for the dog you have contacted us about.
