Tubs' Story

16 Apr 2026

Tubs the Scottish Fold came to Battersea when his previous owners were no longer able to keep him. He needed a thorough health check to screen for signs of Osteochondrodysplasia. Scottish Folds are at risk of developing this painful condition which impacts the development of cartilage and bone.

Fortunately, there were no signs of osteochondrodystrophy, and Tubs was in good health. But as a Scottish Fold, there is always a risk that it may develop. Tubs found an understanding new home with owners who were aware of the health issues that Tubs may have in the future and the impact they would have.
