More about Bailey

Bailey is an excitable Labrador crossed with a Collie who has bundles of energy.

Bailey is a young and intelligent dog and does require some ongoing training. He has lived in a home previously however he did display a high level of mouthing and over the top behaviours. He will need patient new owners who are willing to put in the work and training to help him grow into a well rounded adult dog. Bailey is not a typical pet dog and is looking for a specific home where he will get all the on-going training and exercise he needs, as well as very patient owners who are committed to working with him despite some challenging behaviours, especially as he is settling and adjusting to his new home. He's a true project but we feel he'll be very rewarding in the right home.

He enjoys running around the paddocks here at Battersea Old Windsor and a tennis ball is his absolute favourite. On foster he can destroy toys so his new owners will need to provide Bailey with some indestructible toys he can have fun with. He's incredibly intelligent and loves to learn and use his brain.

Bailey can be worried of some noises and novel items and needs some gentle reassurance from his owners to help him with this. He responds best to a calm approach and gets easily over excited if people are animated around him. He's really friendly with people and is always keen to greet everyone with a big tail wag.

Bailey is looking for a home with people that around most of the time and can build up his time alone gradually. He travels well in the car and was previously housetrained, though will need a few reminders as he settles in.

He is sociable with other dogs however he can be boisterous at times. He is currently looking to be the only dog in his new home however he will benefit from meeting other friendly dogs on walks.
