More about Bear

Bear is gentle giant with a sensitive side, he is based at our Old Windsor Centre.

Bear has lived in a home before and has some great basics in place being housetrained, enjoying car journeys and described as very affectionate with his family.

He has taken some time to make friends with our staff here and new owners need to understand that he has had a lot of change in a short period and give him the space and time to settle into a new home. Affection and fuss will come with time and Bear will let you know he is ready.

He has a beautiful coat that will need to be maintained regularly. He has been comfortable with regular grooming here at Battersea and in his previous home, but this will be very important to continue to make sure he is comfortable.

Bear is a large boy weighing in at 38kg with a lot of fluff, he does walk very nicely on lead enjoying a potter around our centre here. Bear prefers the company of people rather then dogs, he is social but likes a calm walking friend rather than a play mate. Due to this he will need to kept on lead when in public and will need his own garden where he can be off lead and sun bathe when in the sunnier months.

Bear is lovely dog, it will take time for his personality show but given time and some trust he will be come beloved member of the family.
